For over three decades, Jerry Witt has been a dynamic force in the landscape of visual storytelling, his career a testament to a restless creative spirit. As the driving force behind Motion City Films, Jerry established a production house in Los Angeles 35 years ago, initially focusing on impactful corporate communications before expanding his directorial vision to commercials, music videos, and ultimately, the independent feature film “Last Words.”

Film to Digital Innovation

This experience honed his ability to craft compelling narratives and guide projects from concept to final cut. Beyond the linear world of film, Jerry recognized the burgeoning potential of interactive media, expertly transitioning Motion City Films into a digital development powerhouse, creating engaging websites, games, motion rides, kiosks, and immersive experiences. This adaptability and forward-thinking approach have become hallmarks of his career.

Television and Technical Mastery

Jerry’s creative toolkit extends far beyond the director’s chair and the digital canvas. His extensive experience in television production, designing and animating intricate screens for on-set playback, showcases a keen eye for detail and a mastery of visual information design within high-pressure production environments. His credits include Bones, Criminal Minds, NCIS New Orleans, Hawaii Five-0, Rizzoli & Isles, The Orville, and FBI: Most Wanted.

This technical proficiency is further complemented by a background in improv comedy, a discipline that has undoubtedly sharpened his storytelling instincts, collaborative spirit, and ability to think on his feet.

Live Entertainment and Current Ventures

This diverse skillset found further expression in the realm of live entertainment, where he conceived and directed The Imagination Nation Superstation, a live show integrating performance animation with actors.

Most recently, Jerry’s entrepreneurial and creative passions have converged in the launch of Nerd Chic Boutique, a clothing line that reflects his own unique blend of pop-culture enthusiasm and design sensibility, further solidifying his reputation as a multifaceted and innovative creator.
